ALBA BERLIN

A top-team for our capital. In 1989, the basketball club BG Charlottenburg was founded. Only two years later it failed. We committed ourselves as the main sponsor in order to prevent a collapse. We only issued one requirement: the players should demonstrate even better efforts. At the same time, the club was named after us. BG Charlottenburg thus became ALBA BERLIN Basketballteam e.V. Since then, the members of the club and our company developed into a successful team. Both followed the same order: We shall succeed with team spirit, first class performance of each individual, and an accurate and spotless work.

And success didn’t take a long time coming to the ‘Albatrosses’. As early as 1995 they won the European Korac Cup. A novelty: this was the first time that a German basketball team had won an international cup. Only two years later ALBA BERLIN became National German Basketball Champion. Other championships followed as well as winning several cups and awards such as Team of the Year, not to mention the repeated climb to the quarter final of the European League, which is the premier league of European basketball.
