Local authorities and communities face a number of waste management challenges. The need to control costs makes it necessary to focus on the essential. ALBA has long been a waste management partner for local authorities. We not only collaborate with them on a day-to-day basis, but also develop complex strategies for the future. In many cities and rural districts, local authorities contract with regional branches of the ALBA Group for waste management. Synergy effects among preprocessing and recycling plants help to reduce the costs. We collect recyclables, provide street cleaning and snow removal services. Both citizens and local authorities benefit from our years of experience. The PPP (public-private partnership) waste management model is increasingly successful, because it contributes significantly to reducing the financial burden on local authorities. The states of Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania chose the PPP model with ALBA several years ago.
