Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) takeback and recycling

One-stop registration and reporting service

Under the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act, producers and distributors are required to take back and recycle waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) at the end of its useful life. There are also comprehensive registration, documentation and verification obligations. This calls for a full service provider. Interseroh coordinates WEEE takeback solutions for both bricks-and-mortar stores and online retailers – including on an EU-wide basis.

Since August 2018, the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) has included what is called the Open Scope. The categories and types that equipment has to be classified into have also changed. Manufactures may need to act with regard to issues such as registration. We will be pleased to provide professional help with your questions and with implementing the new framework.
