Cologne. This year, environmental services provider Interseroh will be presenting its comprehensive range of products and services at the leading "DACH+HOLZ International” trade fair for the first time. At its allocated exhibition space in Hall 10-412, the specialist for the closed-loop economy will be providing information on take-back and recycling solutions for used transport packaging in the construction industry and informing building materials retailers about their obligations according to the German Packaging Act. The “DACH+HOLZ International” is taking place from 28 to 31 January 2020 in Stuttgart.
“On construction sites, transport packaging accumulates daily as waste following the delivery of materials or components; this waste has to be collected promptly, recovered professionally and returned to the loop," explains Frank Kurrat, Business Unit Manager of INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH. "To fulfil these requirements, we have been operating a sustainable solution together with the construction industry for more than 25 years, and we coordinate a reliable collection system for transport packaging with some 600 certified waste management partners".
At the start of January 2019, the German Packaging Act replaced the previous Packaging Ordinance. The German Packaging Act also regulates the taking back of transport packaging and its environmentally compatible sorting, management and recycling. The environmental services provider Interseroh fulfils the requirements of the German Packaging Act on behalf of its contractual partners and is also available to the construction industry in an advisory capacity.
In addition to the taking back of transport packaging, retailers are also able to register their sales packaging in the German Dual System through Interseroh, using the web shop Lizenzero, for example (www.lizenzero.de). With the "Made for Recycling" service, the environmental services provider also supports businesses with the recycling-friendly configuration of their packaging, and also oversees the environmentally compatible management of waste electrical (and electronic) equipment according to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act. Interseroh also offers all these services throughout Europe.
