Dealing safely with hazardous waste Modern temporary storage for all types of waste From paints and varnishes used in workshops, to fertilizer from market gardens - combustible, environmentally hazardous, explosive and toxic waste often come in small quantities. ALBA operates a number of temporary storage facilities where this waste can be pooled efficiently for further transport. Here - in accordance with stringent safety standards - dangerous waste is stored temporarily, compiled into larger units for transport and finally disposed of safely. Safety is the top priority at these facilities. The

Scrap wood: from tables to chipboards Shredding wood in line with market requirements Kitchen cabinets with woodworm, worn-out sofas, damaged railway sleepers - Germany generates several million tons of scrap wood a year. To promote correct recycling, the German Waste Wood Ordinance (Altholzverordnung) specifies that such material must be sorted and processed according to how clean and free of harmful substances it is. Powerful shredding To prevent the loss of any recyclable materials, ALBA uses its specialist expertise to ensure the professional separation and shredding of scrap wood. Beams

Rudi Recycle – environmental envoy Promoting resource conservation, battling waste incineration Year after year, millions of tonnes of waste are still sent for incineration - waste that could be processed into new raw materials , helping conserve valuable resources. To raise awareness of the issue in a playful, easy-to-understand way, the ALBA Group has enlisted an advocate from the animal kingdom. Environmental spokesman Rudi Recycle is leading our campaign for more recycling, and calling for an end to the loss of raw materials through incineration. His slogan - "Ich lass mich nicht verheizen"

ALBA – driving a sustainable economy Recycling – where economic and environmental interests meet Nothing is more important to our planet's prosperity than natural resources. By 2035, the world is expected to be home to nine billion people - over two billion more than today. All of them will require water, energy and raw materials . Even today, it is clear that unless we can become significantly more resource-efficient, we will not be able to close the gap between rich and poor, or sustain our current standard of living.

Meist geschieht dies in mechanisch-biologischen Abfallbehandlungsanlagen .
