Berlin. Dr. Markus Guthoff, Chief Financial Officer at ALBA Group since September 2011, is to take on a new challenge in the finance sector. After a successful restructuring process and a total of eight years with the Group, he has decided to leave as of 28 February 2017. “We regret Markus Guthoff’s decision enormously and thank him for his great commitment,” said Dr. Axel Schweitzer, CEO and co-owner of ALBA Group. “He made a major contribution to ALBA Group’s business and strategic development and leaves the company in excellent shape. We wish him all the very best for his personal and professional future.”
“Now that the restructuring and realignment of ALBA Group will be completed with the two M&A transactions by the year-end, the time is right for a new professional challenge,” explained Guthoff (52). “I look back on my time with ALBA with gratitude.” Major changes during his term on the Board of Directors included the merger of ALBA AG and Interseroh SE to form ALBA Group, the establishment and expansion of key holding and management functions, and the response to the current crisis in the sector. “Taking part in the company’s development in so many ways has been an interesting and worthwhile task,” said Guthoff.
