toom Baumarkt sells keeeper rotary stacking box from Interseroh recycled plastic

New Product from Procyclen with Blue Angel

Cologne. The toom Baumarkt DIY stores (REWE Group) are now carrying a rotary stacking box in their product range, consisting completely of the recycled plastic Procyclen and distinguished with the Blue Angel environmental mark. The rotary stacking box is part of the ECO-Line series, which manufacturer keeeper developed together with INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH, a subsidiary of recycling specialist ALBA Group. The box is available in two colours – grey and black – nationwide at all toom DIY stores. Further products of the Eco-Line series are to follow.

“One of our main objectives as a company is to offer our customers a steadily growing range of sustainable products,” says Dominique Rotondi, Managing Director for Purchasing of toom Baumarkt GmbH. “Therefore, the products that keeeper and Interseroh manufacture from procyclen are an ideal opportunity for us to lay down a marker not just with respect to recycling ability, but also with respect to the use of resource-friendly materials.”

“With our Eco-Line, we have developed a forward-looking product series of household items that stands up to the high standards of environmentally conscious consumers,” says Mike Carlos Wolf, Spokesman of the Executive Board of keeeper GmbH. “Thanks to our collaboration with Interseroh, we are able to use resource-friendly products completely from procyclen to provide an ideal product range that offers a range of ecological advantages such as saving energy, reducing gases hazardous to the climate and protecting natural sources of raw materials.”

“With our recycled plastic procyclen, which we manufacture from household packaging waste, we can cater specifically to individual wishes such as improved mechanical properties or UV resistance and are also flexible when it comes to colouring,” says Dr Manica Ulcnik-Krump, Head of Research and Development for Recycled-Resource at Interseroh. “There is thus no longer a need to resort to primary raw materials such as crude oil for the manufacture of new products. Thanks to our range of solutions, customers have the chance to come into contact with the topic of raw material efficiency at the highest-quality level.”

Interseroh manufactures the multiple-award-winning secondary plastic procyclen in the specially developed upcycling process Recycled-Resource. In addition to the unique combination of the material attributes, the recycling plastic is also superior to new materials in terms of its raw material-, energy- and climate protection balance: The use of procyclen reduces the emissions of greenhouse gases during the production of new products by 30 to 50 per cent.
